The Ask Jeeves web-site has a site for children www.ajkids.com.  Type this address in and click on the World Atlas book.  Use the spinning globe to find out where Africa is.  Can you find Uganda?

If you don't have broadband at home this may take some time!

Type in the web-site address www.flags.net and see if you can find the flag for Uganda.

You can copy a picture such as a flag and use if for a project or homework.  Right-click with the mouse and then save the picture.

Hagbourne School has a link with Mengo Primary School in Uganda.  Find out where the school is by looking at www.multimap.com

Google earth is great! You  can find your house but of course It's not live. It is the world you can look around the world without being there! You can zoom in and see the world from another perspective.

Uganda has a web-site for their Scouting Association.  Have a look at their site http://www.scouts.or.ug/

See if you can find out where you can hear the Ugandan Scout Promise being sung!

Learn more about what life is like in Africa by using the water-aid web-site www.wateraid.org.uk.  Follow the links- Learn Zone, Under 11, Water Aid game. Choose Ghana when asked to do so.
