| Composting Make sure you put all your vegetables, fruit, dead plants and anything that can be broken down in a compost bin. If you have a shredder then woody plants and sticks can be shredded and either put in the compost heap or scattered over the flower beds. |

| Paper Save your paper and ask your local council whether your they will collect it. Make sure you use paper on both sides and keep a scrap paper box for paper that has only been used on one side. | |

| Bottles Reuse, and Recycle your glass, go down to the bottle bank and throw them in. Its simple its easy and its a quick way to get rid of your bottles also and it saves our environment. Don't put milk bottles in the bottle bank, return them to your milkman, he will reuse them again and again. This is even better than recycling the glass. | |

| Stamps and Silver foil Donate your stamps and silver foil to charity, you can give your stamps to charity shops and you can give them to Blue Peter or PDSA. |

Books and Clothing You can collect books and clothing plus shoes for the salvations army there is normally a collection point by your local bottle back. |

| Tins You can collect your tins and they are collected by council or recycle bank. |

Donating When you have a clear out try not to throw any thing away donate thing to a charity if they are in reasonable condition. Think before you throw out anything! Even empty ink cartridges can be taken by charities, they get money from companies who recycle them.. |
