The Web Team Why we made this web site How we made this site Problems we had to solve
This website was made by Jamie, Charlotte, Ellie, Rosie, Anna, William, Rebecca, and David
SO HERE WE ARE:

Jamie: "I have made the wildlife section, its quiz, and this page and I'm going to tell you what we've been doing and how we've done it. I used paint shop pro 9 for editing pictures. I used scripts I found at www.dynamicdrive.com to make birds fly across the page."
Charlotte: "I have been doing the pages about life at home in England and Greece and I found creating this site fascinating and fun. I decided to write a diary so that children from other countries would know what a typical week was like for a pupil in England "
Ellie: "I think its rather interesting to know about other schools around the world. In this project I have been writing up about life at home from Germany and playtime in England I've had a lot of fun doing it."
Rosie: " I have been on Paint Shop Pro 9. I've also been on Front Page, I liked learning how to use Paint Shop Pro 9 because it gave me an experience for I had never used that program before, I had never been very good at computers before but now I have learned a great deal more."
William: "This is my second year in internet club, and I've enjoyed every second of it! I was focusing this year on the life in another country, I've been using Paint Shop Pro 9, FrontPage, the dynamic drive website and the internet."
Anna: "I've been using marquee and inserting animations off the internet. I've also been using Paint Shop Pro 9 and FrontPage 2003. " We decided to put a map on every page to show where the country was using Paint Shop Pro 9. Since I have been doing internet club I have learnt a lot more!"
Rebecca: "I created the dynamic web template. When make changes to the template then all the page in the website are also changed. This means that all the pages have the same header, navigation and background. I used animation shop to edit animated flags of all the countries to make them suitable for the web site. I edited a picture of the globe for the background because the web site is about life in countries around the world."
We wanted to compare our life in England with the pupils of our partner schools across the world. We thought it would be interesting to see what schools have the longest lunchtime or the shortest school day! We emailed all our partner schools asking them if they would help us to create this website. Click here to see the email. We made a questionnaire and emailed it to them to find out all about life for pupils in that school. Click here to see the questionnaire. We sent it to our partner schools in Germany, Australia, Poland, Uganda, France, Czech Republic, Spain and Greece.
We have all used Microsoft Front Page 2003 which is a website building programme. We use Paint Shop Pro 9 to edit images and Animation shop to create animations for our site. All the photos were taken by the partner schools or by teachers from our school who visited our partner schools. We have been given permission to use these pictures on our site.
Problems we had with this web site
The schools took a long time to send the questionnaires back to us with the answered questions so it gave us a lot of things to do and next to no time at all to do it in. We are still waiting to hear from the Polish and Ugandan school. Also our partner school in France hasn't given us the information that we need , so we are waiting for that information still.
Improvement we will make to this site
We would like to put more sounds and some movies on this website, especially from our partner schools. We have emailed the schools for this and hopefully we will hear soon. It has also been quite difficult to compare the schools and some schools didn't give us all the information so we have emailed them for more.
