Temperature:
The average temperature for the year is about 8˚C, the maximum for the Summer is about 35˚C and the minimum in the winter is sometimes -15˚C to -20˚C.
Transport:
The transport most commonly used are private use cars, public trains and busses, and aeroplanes for longer distances e.g. to other countries.
Holidays:
Some people would like to go to other parts of Germany such as the mountains and the sea, while other people would like to go to hotter countries like Spain, Italy, Greece and Turkey. Even more people would like to go to Austria in the Winter for the Winter Sports or sometimes Northern countries like Denmark or Sweden.
Houses:
Some of the houses we live in are plain ordinary houses with back and front gardens, but other children live in flats together, sometimes with other different families.
Wildlife near us:
Several kinds of birds (pigeons who are eating the rest of lunch in the schoolyard, smaller birds like singing-birds, blackbirds, ravens, sometimes you can see red kites passing our school in the air), frogs and toads near the house (sometimes even inside), brown and black squirrels on the trees.
Rare animals near us:
1 Kilometre from school we have a little lake near the river Danube where beavers (the animal of our 2006-Comenius-Project) live. In the forest just in view of our classrooms you can find rare birds.

Just now we work only on the Comenius-project, on our environmental area of working, we have no other project in work.
The whole forest near our school is a wildlife area because of its trees, plants and animals. The area is protected because it is a special region where the whole system of life depends on water.
Sometimes we have lessons there (for biology, special forest days)

These two pictures are of children playing and resting in the woods.
The whole countryside around Dillingen is rather flat. We have the Forest along the river. The other parts are fields and meadows for agricultural use. But there are areas of big changes where they take gravel from the ground to use it for construction. There we have a lot of new lakes, some of them for water sports or fishing. You can find some hills about 10 km north or south of the town where the river area ends.
