At Hagbourne school we have a Bike shed, there is a helmet shelf and not forgetting the bike bars, which you lock your bike too. Before you set off there's a few things to remember to do: Make sure your brakes and tyres are in good condition Hagbourne school has a group of cyclists who do road safety every Friday, these people are usually yr6's and yr5's as well. The parent helpers give up their own time to help with the cycling! At the end of the five weeks of training you take a test. When you pass you can cycle your bike safely on the road. When you are in a car, ALWAYS remember to WEAR YOUR SEATBELT! If someone in the car that hasn't got their seatbelt on then you must tell them to because this could save their life, you never know! When you are at traffic lights remember, red = stop, red and amber = stop, green = go (if it is safe)!!
Whenever you cross a road always remember... STOP LOOK AND LISTEN!!!!!
This is a picture of people doing what they're meant to be doing, Stopping, Looking and Listening! But do be careful where you cross the road. It is better to cross the road where there are no parked cars so you have a clear view of the road.
