 Cycling

You must not ride on pavements or footpaths, unless there are signs saying you can. Similarly you can only use bus lanes, which is a red part of the road with a bus symbol on it, when they is a symbol of a bicycle displayed. Where there are cycle lanes and cycle tracks provided use them.  Rules are there not to be broken, but to make you safe.

Just because you're on a bike doesn't mean you can go through traffic lights, over pedestrian crossings without looking for other people, go down one-way streets and ignore other road signs!   You also have to listen to Police Officers, Traffic Wardens and School Crossing Patrols.  Never ride with more than two of you next to each other, and on narrow roads ride single file.
You should always wear a cycle helmet or a helmet of some kind where ever you cycle
